Shea Nuts and Shea Butter
With global demand for Shea increasing, a phenomenon driven by the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and the confectionary industries, AWiGT supports our members, who work in various levels of the shea value chain to focus on value-addition to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.


Textiles
AWiGT sources the very best of traditional fabrics like kente, adinkra, mud cloth, tye dye and batik, and are ideal for clothing, accessories, or home décor.. The vibrant colors and patterns reflect the rich African culture and heritage.




Bolga Baskets (Ghana)
Bolga basket weaving is a traditional craft passed down through generations. AWiGT works with women cooperatives, made up of skilled artisans, mostly women, who use a unique coiling technique to weave the baskets, using elephant grass or straw. Each basket takes several days or even weeks to complete, depending on its size and complexity.



Handicrafts
AWiGT offers a wide range of unique, handmade items like baskets, bronze statues, wood carvings, and jewelry from all over Africa. The crafts reflect local craftsmanship and cultural heritage and are ideal for decorative purposes or as gifts.

Senegal Baskets (Senegal)
Senegal baskets are handwoven from palm tree leaves or fibres, showcasing the artisanl expertise of Senegalese women. AWiGT’s fair trade approach ensures that the hardworking and dedicated basket weavers in rural Senegal gain the needed recognition and remuneration for their important work while exposing their unique baskets to a wider audience.
